When playing Brainwave3D content on your computer or smartphone, you may occasionally experience crackling sounds. These noises are generally not due to the quality of our recordings, but can be caused by various factors related to the hardware or software of the playback device.
One of the main reasons, especially on computers, can be the sound card. Older or less powerful sound cards might struggle to properly process the high-quality frequencies of our recordings. On both mobile devices and computers, the issue can also arise from using Bluetooth headphones, particularly cheap or low-quality ones. These headphones may not accurately reproduce certain frequency ranges of our recordings, leading to crackling sounds.
We have serviced over 15,000 customers and only in two cases have we heard of such issues. After giving these customers tips to optimize their sound card, playback software, or switch their headphones, the crackling noises were successfully resolved.
If you are experiencing similar issues, we recommend installing the latest drivers for your sound card (if using a computer), closing other programs during playback, and checking all audio settings. When listening on a mobile device, switching from Bluetooth to wired headphones or using higher-quality headphones may improve the audio quality.
